    Here’s a beautiful tree (Bay of Islands) which is loved by the bees. Anyone know its name?

    I agree with you Anna, and this year it seems to be covered in flowers.
    The cutback it received last season must have done it wonders 🙂

    Yes you are right Anna – thanks to you and Jacqui. Apparently the Kereru love it also. I’m going to plant it everywhere! 🙂

    Oh Anna – you’re right – it’s Tagasaste, brilliant plant, had it on my farm and when I was short of hay or grass I would break down branches for the cattle.

    Because there’s nothing to gauge the size in the photo, I kept on thinking tulip tree and magnolias – had the completely wrong thinking on the size.

    It is very fragrant and the leaves are almost lupin like.
