Tagetes lemonii is a great plant which grows into a small shrub. Usually reaching 4-5ft, it is easy from cuttings at almost any time of the year and will grow in fairly poor soil. It is good for a dry position with your poorest soil at the back of a border, and will thrive there happily setting seed after the first years growth. Excellent with lavenders and other dry garden plants such as rosemary.
Above all – the butterflies do love it!
