We only have a few young plants at this stage (150ish). The Ghania are from seed collected from Eskdale Reserve behind Kaipatiki Project so they are Auckland locals.

They are very hard to grow – dislike nicely watered potting mix and most people just throw some seed around their site and hope. I need to treat these plants a lot worse to encourage them to grow!

We sell fully grown plants for $4.00 + gst, these are not, so are worth $2.00. If there is a market for Ghania I would continue to try to propagate them – the Forest Ringlet aspect sure increases attention. Are the butterflies in the Auckland Region?
