I returned home from work to find two of my Monarchs have hatched and look great. I would like to keep them for another day or two before releasing them. I was wondering about feeding them I have a potted dwarf sunflower will that be okay or should I let them find food when I release them?

They don’t usually require feeding for the first 24 hours or so. They will be active and keen to find nectar when they’re ready. Personally, I would pick a bunch of flowering weeds from somewhere, bound to be rich in nectar, and put them on that.
