Hi everyone, we had a monarch hatch yesterday morning (30 hours ago) and it half came out but that’s it. We helped it get fully out but now it’s wings are all bunched and it seems to be struggling. We’ve put a drop of water nearby.
    What should we do?

There is probably nothing you can do for it, Omitch, except euthanase it. Monarchs that emerge at this time of year have often been weakened by a build up of diseases and pathogens – and with the shorter day length and cooler temperatures the butterflies take longer to develop, hence they are at risk longer.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings.
