    Are buddleias really good for feeding monarch caterpillars please?

    No, they don’t feed caterpillars but the flowers are beautiful, colourful and are well liked by insects including butterflies for their nectar. The plants are also quick growing perennials.

    Local government in NZ would be thrilled if monarch caterpillars ate them as buddleias can be a real pest in some parts of the country where some members of the family have gone wild.
