Refreshing those instructions as to how to create and/or upload an avatar or a globally recognised avatar (gravatar).

    http://blog.gravatar.com/2013/04/03/gravatar-and-wordpress-com-together-forever/

Now while our forum runs under WordPress, when you register for our forum and/or website, you are NOT registered with WordPress. So register with WordPress using the same email address you use for our site, and then your gravatar will be recognised by our forum.

    C’mon folks, it’s FUN!

I have edited this post. Pepetuna temporarily looked like a Yellow Admiral. The Avatar is linked to the email address. Now my avatar feels more like me again.

Jacqui, I’ve tried to follow the instructions and didn’t succeed either. I cannot find blog profile, can find my own profile but nowhere to upload an avatar!!

I seemed to be able to create an avatar for my cafepress account, but how do I get that avatar/image to show up on my monarch.org forum posts like your gorgeous pic Jacqui?

    thanks

    Katrina 🙂

Clinton, we can’t create an avatar for you from that image. You will need to do it yourself from either the links Jacqui gave in her post, or the one I did.
Have a go – you won’t find it too hard. 🙂

You can also create a free Gravatar (Globally recognised avatar) that can be used in all sorts of forums by going to the website http://en.gravatar.com and signing up with your email address. Then you upload a photo and this will be used whenever you submit posts to a forum using that email address.

The photo can be a photo of yourself (like Jacqui’s is) or an image (mine is an image of a Puriri moth or Pepetuna).
