    Hi Team,
I've been bombarded with caterpillars this season - it's great! But they're tearing through the swan plants like there's no tomorrow!

I love in Lower Hutt, just wondering if anyone has any mature plants that I can possibly purchase?

    Cheers!

    Hi,
Ive had a very low season for Monarchs - only one butterfly now hatched...So I have 4 plants about 1m tall. Would you consider up lifting some butterflies for me? Rather than digging up my plants - just a thought? Im in Roseneath.

Im in Lower Hutt. We had a bumper "crop" as well. At least 200 or more caterpillars, we gave away at least 80+ to our neighbours and sister living in Mt Victoria. Currently we have 100 chrysalises and 10-15 medium to large caterpillers munching the last of our plants/pumpkin shavings.

Came home from work today and had first butterfly hatch, a beautiful female, I put her on a plant outside and within 5 minutes a male dive-bombed her and carried her away! 20 more chrysalises very dark and will probably hatch tomrrow first thing.

Trademe often has good plants locally, but maybe you've tried that.

PS: I used to "love in Lower Hutt" too! LOL
