EARLY SIGHTINGS
Please click on this link. Your data is recorded there in a table.
Gill Jackson went through all the letters and emails we received in the first few weeks and put the critical information into that database.
THANK YOU GILL.
REPORTING A SIGHTING
You can add sightings now yourself - see link to Report Monarch Sighting (to the right) or click here.
You can also use the SEARCH function to see if other people have reported sightings, e.g. key in your suburb or “golf course”.
These are reports of sightings throughout the country, from Ninety Mile Beach to Stewart Island! There are still more people in more parts of NZ we’re hoping to hear from, we know Monarch lovers live EVERYWHERE. If there is no information recorded for your part of NZ, please write a Letter to the Editor of your local paper, and ask Monarch Butterfly lovers if they’ll help us!
We want to improve the habitat for Monarchs throughout the country!
