several butterflies enjoying newly opened flowers on peach and plumtrees– I hope they will make up for the lack of bees– I expect a bumper crop as a result
Fluttered past my lounge window several times as though looking for somewhere to land
2 butterflies mating on garden fence.
It was sitting on a book, Very battered, Its wings were all ripped and seemed to have not formed properly and it had a broken leg, but very alive.
Butterflies everywhere– enjoying plum flowers, Magnolia,Blackwood acacia, bottlebrush ,agonis and tree lucen. There seems to be 4 or5 in each tree and more fluttering around.Obviously more than half a dozen have survived our awful weather.
large number of monarchs seen up amongst the pine trees at back of park
group of 7 sunning themselves on old Rhododendon tree. Pink.
Saw three monarchs flying around, one also had another attached as they were flying (mating).
One female feeding on jasmine flowers
