Kate Young lives on a lifestyle block a few kilometres west of Hamilton with a lively dog and two pesky (but much loved) cats.
Kate works with Te Wananga o Aotearoa as an Information Literacy librarian, helping develop policy for the Wananga nationwide and putting together programmes for other people to deliver.
Kate has been interested in butterflies as long as she can remember. She started rearing Monarchs and then Admirals, and recently spent an internship at a butterfly farm in the USA.
In her spare time she enjoys painting.
