2 only female monarchs resting on the swan plants. Been here for the last few hours. Will flutter from plant to plant then rest for a while.

2 very battered butterflies (one with torn bl wing) laying eggs on swanplants, no tags. Released 6 new today, another 2 damaged in hatching euthanised.

flew arround then found swan plant and laid eggs did this twice.

We have had lots and lots of butterflies visit our swan plant - the plant is in overload - will have to buy more so we can feed them! Approx. 30 caterpillas - x3 in crysalis now.

butterfly flew the length of our back yard and dissapeared over the fence and far away.
