Monarch Butterfly NZ Trust

1 adult German wasp, first seen this spring.flew into sunporch.Killed.

Resting on ground by play equipment, in the shade

the monarch was a good colour, & flying along our driveway , hopefully towards the garden

1 monarch laid @ 6 eggs

The warm early evening was wonderful time to relax after a day’s gardening. The NorWest wind suddenly sprang up quite strong and a little while later I saw a large butterfly at about four metres among a still nude wallnut tree.
