Overwintering cluster, butterflies were feeding, sunning themselves and mating
There were approx 8 butterflies in or around the white flowering plum which was in full blossom. It suprised me as I have never seen so many like that.
one flying around garden, landing on magnolia and camillia watched it for approx. half an hour.

lying on the sidewalk, I couldn’t tell if it was dead or just slow due to cold temperatures, I brought it inside and it seems to be moving very slowly but not flying - but it’s very cool inside as well
6 monarchs in totara trees on road edge by flats
Approx 8-10 butterflies feeding on plants and sunning themselves. Possibly more around but only looked briefly as I was walking past.
