Many over a period of a few weeks

in flight and rather battered and only partial wings it appeared.

Sited one nest on rhododendron and destroyed. Noted more wasps on other side of house this morning. Nest not found yet

Flew around garden and out again. Been about 3/5 in last 2 weeks

25 degres celcius, warm, little breeze. butterfly was among wild flowers on side of walk

Appeared to be feeding from blue plant (Plumbago auriculata Royal Cape). Stayed for about a minute, then flew away.

Noticed one and then another one flying nearby at a swapmeet

Throughout the last two months we noticed the caterpillars have all been disappearing Then we observed the wasps actually stinging and devouring the caterpillars on the 3 swan trees planted in our garden Since then we have been trimming the branches off the tree and have taken them inside out of reach of […]
