It seemed dazed, it actually went on our hands. Though we were extremely careful not to touch it’s wings. I think it missed the migration as it is starting to get somewhat cold chilly out.
One butterfly caught my eye - I have never seen such a large butterfly. It rested very briefly and flew away. I didn’t know what it was until I found this website.

saw at least three, together and as individuals. can sight most days
