monarch on our swan plant and several caterpillars and 2 chrysalis in the middle of winter!

I saw one MB in the rock garden in the Dunedin Botanic Garden. It was flying when I first saw it then it alighted on a small shrub and rested there, presumably sunning iself.

A chrysalis and 2 caterpillars on a swan plant. A butterfly landed on the plant this morning.
