A number of butterflies, generally in pursuit of one-Mating? One of the elderley residents here suggested that in the past he believed that they wintered over in the bush behind my house. It is sheltered, sort of clifflike but well covered by a mixture of natives, wattles, ornamental plants. Will check with the people in the house perched partway up the hill when they come home. The butterflies have been flying around for a couple of hours.
