Pupa was kept inside house but taken outside when ready to emerge from pupa. The butterfly emerged and flew off.

Pupa was kept inside house. The buttefly is male and he held onto my finger as I put him outside to hold onto a bush while his wings dried. I didn’t see him fly off but saw him flying round a neighbour’s garden.

i have 5 swan plants at my home
Mostly on brightly coloured big dahlias in the garden. No caterpillars or eggs found as yet, I bought a swan plant though!
