Auckland / Mt Albert / 2005-08-31 07:00:00

I recently sighted one only Monarch butterfly briefly visiting our garden in Mount Albert Auckland - on or about 31st August - in other words, a few days ago. I’ve not seen one since. We had quite a few visit our property last year. They seemed to have been attracted by our colourful bed of zinneas. As you probably know, Mount Albert was part of the area aerial sprayed for the painted apple moth.
