Tauranga / early avenues, city area / 2005-07-20 09:00:00

I saw up to 25 or so, hanging on a Pohutakawa tree, and they flit about during the day near a Puriri tree, in the same area., think they drink the nectar from those flowers at the moment. They are always here, it seems, and seem to be mating also? at this time of the year? They are very active!Have been there for weeks.
