Two large clusters of monarchs - approx. 200+ in total overwintering on trees near the Beach Road entrance to the park
Last year had about 40 to 50 chrysali emerge…in June this year spotted 2 monarchs….
Caterpillars, chrystali & butterflies on swan plants in garden. Many more this year than last year, possible due to less wasps (several wasp nests destroyed)
Single butterfly was observed, on previous occasions several individuals were seen
one Monarch butterfly, flitting over car park
Our neighbours have over 20 swan plants which attracted several dozen prior to winter.
