Many groups of butterflies scattered on the sunny face of the trees in April 2003
Hundreds of monarch butterflies wintering over in trees, from about April, numbers have decreased, but there are still lots. On sunny days they flutter around, and can be seen on camellia, bottle brush, hebe. I saw 12 last week on, and fluttering around, a hebe bush.
